Science

Today was my first session in Mrs. Sharma's science class. Since Auckland is still in quarantine until Sunday at 11:59pm everyone in the class had to see each other in a google meeting. All of the students that attended the class had introduced themselves to Mrs. Sharma. After the meet and greet, all of the students had to do a quiz to see what we already know and what we don't know. The google meeting session was fun.

Mango Juice

This afternoon Alamoni, Alilia and I made our very own mango juice because we didn't have anything to do so we went into the kitchen and started making it. Luckily we had all the ingredients in our kitchen. In the end it turned out really delicious and gorgeous.

Ingredients:                            Equipment:

Nice ripe mangoes                 strainer

1/3 of coconut cream             jug

2 table spoons of sugar         bowl

1/2  cup of water                        grater

 Instructions

The first thing to do is pick the right mango. Next thing your going to do is peel it then grate it until you can see the seed in the middle. Once your grated mango is in a bowl you will need to add these 3 ingredients in, 1/3 of coconut cream, 2 table spoons of sugar and 1/2 cup of water, then mix. When you are done mixing grab the jug and strainer. Tip the mixture into the strainer and sift it until there are no chunks. Pour the juice that you have just made into a cup or bottle and drink up. If you still have the mango that you have just sifted you can eat it or make more juice.

NZ's Largest Wind Turbines Built In Tarnaki

The largest wind Turbines are being built in South Taranaki (New Zealand) The turbines have appeared between Waverley and Patea at the Waipipi Wind Farm. It is very unusual for New Zealand to have their wind turbines built on a flat coastal land. The new farm is installing 31 new turbines. Each turbine stands 160m tall with a 130m diameter rotor. The farm will begin generating electricity later this year.
