Kahoot

At 10 am on Friday some of the Rm 4 girls came to Rm 8 because the year 7s were going to practice their road patrols so they know what to do, to keep the kids safe walking across the road. So while they were doing their thing Mrs Cardoza decided to do a kahoot to entertain us for the time being.

Tips To Deal With Cyberbullying

If you are being bullied on any social media platform and don't know what to do or say, here are some tips on how to deal with it.

  • Tell someone what is happening and that you are upset by it – don’t suffer alone.
  • Check out your school’s policy on cyber bullying and see what they can do.
  • If you’d rather not talk to friends, family or school you can always contact  Net safe , Kidsline, What’s Up, or Youthline for confidential support and advice on what to do or how to cope.
  • Change your phone number, block or unfriend bullies, and alter your online profile or privacy details so they’re more secure; most providers offer help with settings.
  • Collect evidence of the bullying: keep messages, take screen shots or photos, record dates and print emails.
  • Consider taking a short break from some or all social media; you have the right to be online, but sometimes a rest can help calm both emotional and media storms.
  • Report what’s happened to your internet or mobile provider – they may be able take down or block certain numbers and sites that break their code of conduct.
  • If what’s happening is really serious or scary, consider telling the Police.

If you are in a lot of pain because of what the people around you is saying online, remind yourself that God  woke you up today for a reason. That is because you were made for greatness but the 1st thing you have to do is pick yourself up and move forward.

Hot & Cold

Wednesday 17th of March was my photo day and the year 7/8 Tech day. Since I was in Science we did an experiment. The experiment was based on temperature and degrees. Here are the instructions:

Fill the measuring cylinder with cold water up to 50 ml then pour it in the beaker, do this once more. Once the beaker is filled all the way up to 200 ml, put the thermometer in making sure it does not touch the bottom of the beaker. the temperature Charles and I got was 25.5 degrees. write the number you got on to your book then continue. Grab the weighing scale, put the petri dish on and weigh 10 grams. Once done get your partner to time how long it will take for the sugar to dissolve in the cold water with the stopwatch while your mixing it. Our time was 1 min 9 sec. When we did the same thing to the hot water our temperature was 80 degrees and time was 30 sec. Time difference - 39 sec
