Trophy Update

Since Friday the 24th, I have been working hard to get 400 or over 400 trophies in 2 months. So i'm glad to say I have completed 408 math tasks/games on Transum within 2 months.

I had started Transum on the 27th of July 2021 and today is the 27th of September which means I have completed my goal that I had set 3 days ago.

Transum has a great selection of games that you can play here are some of my favorites.

Dice Net Challenge

In this weeks Maths session I had done the Dice Net Challenge on Transum. This game was really fun and easy to do because you basicalling had to follow what it said in the box below and make it looking like a cube square. This game has 11 challenges and was very fun. Comment below if you have tried it or will consider trying the game.

Earthquake hits the Australian state of Victoria

At around 9.15am on Wednesday a magnitude-5.8 earthquake was detected in the Alpine National Park. This is located near the small town of Mansfield.
It was originally reported as a magnitude-6 quake, but was downgraded shortly after.
The quake was felt heavily 190km away in Melbourne, where a number of city builds were damaged.
Victoria State Emergency Service has confirmed there is no tsunami threat following the quake.
There have been no reports of serious injuries or fatalities as a result of the quake.

Trophy Update

So under 1 month and a couple of days I have been able to reach my goal of 351 trophies in my cabinet do far my next goal is 400.

If I can reach 400 trophies in 2 months and a couple of days I will try to work hard to achieve 500 trophies.

If you have more trophies or want to share your work on Transum, please post or comment down below and tell me.

Factorising

In today's math session we had started off with some Factorising On Transum. At first it was hard but as I got the hang of it, it was really easy. The class had gotten confused so it was a hard task for them, eventually they had gotten the hang of it too. Here's an example:
5a+ab= a(5+b) what letter is shown more than once, bracket plus the remaining inside it
10a+6= 16a Adding the numbers together than adding the letter on the side
Check out the site because it really helps you understand to patterns and a new way of practicing your algebra.

Graphs

In today's math session with Mrs Allen we had gone through Graphs. Learning about graphs had me really confused because it was my first time doing but also learning how to pin out the gradient of the line was.

Although I struggled in this area I did understand that if the line is positioned in a vertical/diagonal direction it positive if pointing downward it will be negative. This had really helped me when it came to the Kahoot. I had came in 2nd place with on 2 answers wrong that's pretty good for someone who had no clue what was going on (well at least for me).

The activity was hard so Mrs Allen decided to leave it for Next term or at least when we're ready.

Reflection

Since it's Friday Mrs Cardoza said we had to write a reflection on week 7 in lockdown, so here it is.
This week had been like any other (obviously Auckland's in lockdown). Even though we had worked on Algebraic equations and graphs to get on a higher level of maths then we were on before we went into lockdown. Some of the activities I took an interest in was the maths and the conservation week events.
So far my week has been normal and relaxing.

Trophy Update

Trophie Friday
I decided why not have a Trophy Friday. Trophie Fridays are going to be at the end of every week, that means I will try and give you an update on my trophy cabinet on Fridays. So far I have 70 trophies in total.

The progress for my studies on Transum has been really good just like my classmates.
My overall experience on Transum has been amazing especially for my learning since I'm heading to college soon. I would rate the site a 9 out of 10 just because some of the games don't come with a trophy, other than that really good. If you want to check out the site just check out my recent post on maths to try Transum and other math sites.

Brackets

Today I had another session with Mrs Allen and the class, we had did some Brackets and Equations on Transum. At first it was really confusing and difficult but when Mrs Allen helped me out with the equations and brackets it was was fun.

The brackets were the hardest for me because i kept getting stuck on the questions and forgot the pattern hallway through the game.

My overall experience was great, remember to try Transum out, leave a comment and stay safe.

Fathers Day

This Sunday September the 5th is a special day for all the fathers and male caregivers because it's Fathers day. This year I made my father a poem to show how much I appreciate all that he does, I also made gifts for him. So here's the poem I made him.

Dear Dad,

You're the best, you're one of a kind
You sing, laugh and always manages to have a fun time
"You encourage your children to do great for a future where we can succeed
You have shown me how hard I need to work to achieve my goals in life.
You have a selfless, loveable and comedic personality that shines everyday
You're tall like a tree and cool as ice, you're my hero, you're a blessing to this family, no doubt that's right
So cheers to you on September 5th, you're the best of the best so this poem to you is a loving gift"
HAPPY FATHERS DAY
From: Sunipa 😀

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the fathers and male caregivers in the world.

Kahoot

This week Room 1 has been doing some kahoot quizzes on whales. Some of the questions were about the mass of the  whale or about how long they can hold their breath underwater. We retook the test twice, the first time was knowledge but the second time was to do with speed.

I was lucky enough to have won both kahoots but I have to say the second kahoot was a challenge, because halfway into the quiz I had stuffed up. Leaving myself to fall in 2nd place, but when it came up to the last question  I thought I wasn't gonna come in first. Suddenly I was quick enough that I won the game and beat Sebastian.
