Although I struggled in this area I did understand that if the line is positioned in a vertical/diagonal direction it positive if pointing downward it will be negative. This had really helped me when it came to the Kahoot. I had came in 2nd place with on 2 answers wrong that's pretty good for someone who had no clue what was going on (well at least for me).
The activity was hard so Mrs Allen decided to leave it for Next term or at least when we're ready.

ReplyDeleteI love this post, as it tells me that Kahoots help firm up new knowledge. Gradient is hard. Students can still struggle with gradient in year 12. Calculus will be much easier for you if you are confident with gradient, which is why I decided to introduce it early. I am sure by the end of the year you will be able to explain gradient with confidence. Thank you for posting. Ms Allan.
